The layout to this Tamboerskloof penthouse was very unusual in that that it consists of two living “blocks” joined by a long passage. The previous owners had extended the kitchen into the lounge making it difficult to furnish.

By moving some of the internal walls – even if only a few centimetres – it was possible to simplify the lines, open up views and make the space functional. Aesthetically the brief was for a sophisticated, colourful design with features such as custom glass panels and bright fabrics chosen to complement the shades of white and natural stone.
