I design restaurants, and I’m often uninspired by the selection of chairs available to choose from. I find they either lack in elegance, are too large or are not comfortable. I have two antique bent wood chairs hanging on the wall of my office. I use them as additional seating, and I love their fine turned legs, small proportions and elegance, but they tend to be quite rickety.
This inspired me to design a chair of my own. It will have characteristics of the recently completed stool posted on my blog in March, and will be made from a combination of solid timber, some special detailing and a touch of copper.
I look forward to posting the completed pictures in coming days.
